DataDoor

Live now. Hardware not required.

Your listing can answer buyers tonight.

The DataDoor app is running today. Add a listing, answer the seller intake once, and every buyer who finds that listing can ask it real questions and get real answers — from an assistant that never pretends to be you.

An actual exchange shape. The assistant identifies itself, answers only from what the seller provided, and hands the moment back to the agent.

The DataDoor Terminal, the physical sign, extends this to the curb. The software stands on its own and works on any listing you already have.

What the buyer gets

Someone finds your listing, scans a code or opens a link, and types a question in their own words. No app to download, no account, no form standing between them and an answer. They can ask twenty questions at eleven at night and nobody has to pick up a phone.

The answers come from a structured intake you complete with the seller — permits, the roof, the school boundary, why they are moving, what the neighbours are like. Not scraped, not guessed. When the answer is not in there, the assistant says so instead of inventing one.

What you get back

Every question asked is a raised hand. You see what people actually wanted to know about that specific property, in their own words, and which of them asked to go further.

That has never been visible before. Portals show you clicks. This shows you intent, attached to a property, phrased by a human being who cared enough to ask.

Eleven people asked about the garage conversion this week.

Four asked whether the school boundary includes this side of the street.

Two raised a hand for a showing.

Shapes of engagement, not trails. Nobody is identified who did not choose to be.

How to start

  1. Add the listing

Address, photos, the basics. A few minutes.

  2. Answer the seller intake

A guided conversation that captures what only the seller knows. This is the part that makes the answers good, and it is the part nobody else has.

  3. Share the link or the code

On the sign rider, in the flyer, in the listing description, in a text. One code resolves any phone to the right listing.

  4. Watch the hands go up

Questions arrive as they happen, with a weekly digest of what the market asked about your property.

What it will not do

These are constraints in the code, not promises in a policy document.

Rentals

There is a rentals track live for San Diego, Long Beach and Laguna Beach, with jurisdiction-aware validation, published qualification criteria, showing blocks and waitlists. It was built fair-housing-first: the architecture makes an individualised judgement impossible to express, rather than merely discouraged.

Questions

Do I need a Terminal to use this?

No. The software works on any listing you already have, with a link or a QR code. The Terminal brings the same conversation to the curb for people who never look a property up online, but it is an extension rather than a requirement.

Does the buyer know they are talking to an AI?

Always, and immediately. The assistant discloses itself and never adopts your name or voice. The disclosure is recorded with a timestamp, which means you can prove it happened.

Where do the answers come from?

From a structured intake completed with the seller, plus your listing details. The system only speaks to what it has been told about that specific property. When something has not been provided, it says so rather than guessing.

What happens to what a buyer types?

You see the questions and the engagement. You do not get an identity unless the buyer chooses to give one through a separate, explicit act. Location is used once to resolve the nearest listing and is never stored.

Is my seller's information safe?

Sensitive disclosures are flagged at intake and handled separately. The original text is always preserved, and flagged fields cannot be bulk-cleared.

What does it cost?

Pricing is set per market while the product is in its early cohorts. Write to Matthew@thedatadoor.com and you will get a straight answer.

Put it on a listing this week

Bring one active listing. You will know within a few days whether the questions you get back are worth having.
